Well, I guess the purpose of a blog is to keep it current and to update statuses, etc. Not that there’s anybody out there who gives a good you know what, but at the end of the day…I have the blog…so I might as well update it.
Please note before you stop reading there are some business opportunities towards the end of this blog.
On the professional side of my life; I’m still running the Manhattanville University Sport Business Management program. I’d love to say that things are going gangbusters there; we are still doing our best at providing a top-level experience with real people from the industry–let’s call it the real school sports business experience at a graduate level, but we have had a lot of challenges at the college and quite frankly, and to be honest–the support there is not great, if it exists at all.
Academia 🤔is a very strange “business” if you can call it that!
However, for your edification, that program can be found here: MS in Sport Business Management

I am still providing content for Latin Business Today as its sports lead and those articles can be seen here:

The Clubhouse Radio Program is still a fun gig and we have so many great guests that it would be surprising if you went through the list of truly amazing people we have had on the show.
After almost a year and a half of doing a podcast with Terry Hanratty (and Rob Adams)–called Hanratty‘s Huddle, we’ve had great success and many great guests such as Rocky Blier, Terry, Bradshaw, Tom Lemming and Kevin Colbert, (the former GM of the Pittsburgh Steelers!). Terry has told unbelievable stories, but more importantly, this has opened up a new business concept called Vintage Sports Media. We will do what we have done with Terry ‘s podcast for similar folks. We have several professional athletes from the NBA, NHL and PGA, who are already on board with this concept.
For more information about this opportunity, please contact me privately at any one of my emails, or through LinkedIn, Facebook, X or any of the social platforms that I’m on currently…or related emails:

On the investing side of my life, I have invested in a company that is starting a new social media platform; not just something like Twitter or Facebook but a powerful platform that will promote positivity and kick out any negative crap that exists on the current platforms. This is an exciting new venture and I’m very happy to be involved with this going forward. More on that to follow, but if you’re interested, there is a buying opportunity here and we expect this to be a large deal. (See below)
The other investing I have done, other than in the traditional equity markets, has been in the Horsing game. I’m proud to say that I am now the owner of three thoroughbreds and a trotter. Now, when I say, “I own” that means I have a partial share; just like a stock. I enjoy learning more about the game every day. Jarrett and I went to Saratoga last summer, and I plan to do that again. I’ve spent a few days at Aqueduct watching Nolita run and we have another horse coming up to the starting gates very soon! I am excited about this experience going forward.
Family
My mom is 93 and suffering from dementia. I spend a lot of time managing her affairs and visiting with her. My sisters are all in different places and we are just not a close family–unfortunately. We can’t choose our family, or change their questionable ways….however, I remain very close with my children, and of course with Laurie. We get to see the kids often, although they have their own lives. Stephanie is in Manhattan working for ADP and Jarrett just started a new job and lives in Stamford, Connecticut. We get to spend most of the holidays together and hopefully summer at Seaside Beach Club! Laurie and I get to spend some time in Aruba every year and I really look forward to that!
NEW BUSINESS
A new social media platform is being formed!
Imagine a social media platform where kindness isn’t just encouraged—it’s the foundation. We are revolutionizing how we connect online by creating a space where positivity thrives, bullying is banished, and every user feels safe and inspired. With cutting-edge technology and AI to filter harmful content and amplify uplifting interactions, this is more than a platform—it’s a movement to make the digital world a better place for everyone. Join us and help build a community where kindness reigns.
This new platform is being designed with great connections and pros…it is designed to take the negativity and BS out of social media…this sounds like an uphill climb, but much work and connections have been made and the guys involved are super successful and want to leave a true legacy to their kids, grandkids and beyond.
There are a lot of opportunities, not just investment-wise (which I have done) but with branding and building the platform (and more). The materials are best understood through a presentation by the team President, who will provide a comprehensive overview. They do require an NDA.
Collaborate with us in changing the internet ugliness…for your kids, grandkids etc.

VINTAGE SPORTS MEDIA
“Hanratty’s Huddle” is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of sports through the lens of those who lived it. With deep storytelling, legendary guests, and unparalleled access to sports history, we bridge the past and present to inspire future generations of athletes and fans.
Under the banner of Vintage Sports Media, “Hanratty’s Huddle” delivers insightful, engaging, and historically rich sports content. Leveraging a deep archive of recorded episodes and an extensive network of high-level sports connections, we provide exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes stories, and expert analysis that honor the greats and illuminate the game’s evolution. Our goal is to entertain, educate, and preserve the legacy of sports for all generations.
We are doing very well with the Hanratty’s Huddle, and have added other podcasts, such as:
•Reel Sports—which discusses sports movies (Jon DeBenedictis)
•The Gauntlet of Life—which I do with my trainer (Bill Curcio)
•Coaches Corner with Lou Marinelli
•The Business of Sports (various execs)
•Sports Security (name to be decided)
We’re going to incorporate The Clubhouse content and materials as well.
We also have other people interested such as:
Tom Laidlaw, NHL
Brian Crowell, PGA golfer
Lowes Moore, NBA
…and others.
We’re building a platform and we think we have an exceptional case to make for something that has not been done not just podcast but with blogs and other written material.
Signing off…God Bless!
